Today is World Science Day for Peace and Development. The very purpose of this day is to strengthen public awareness on the role of science for peaceful and sustainable societies, promote national and international solidarity for a shared science between countries, renew national and international commitment for the use of science for the benefit of societies and draw attention to the challenges faced by science and raise support for the scientific endeavour. The theme this year’s ` World Science day for Peace and Development is `Promoting Quality Science Education: Ensuring a sustainable future for all.
As science plays a very big role in our daily lives, it is of utmost importance that we highlight the important role of science in society and engaged more and more people on emerging scientific issues.
